The book of SHE

P1100594
”A múlandóság az élet egyik alapköve. Állandó mozgásban és átalakulásban élünk, ami sosem ér véget. Erre tanít bennünket saját testünk is. Sokan félnek a változásoktól.
Mégis, a legtöbb ember fél a sötétségtől.
The Book of SHE by Sara Avant Stover.

”Impermanence is the bedrock of life. Everything is always in flux. We´re always in transition. There’s no end to change, and our bodies teach us this every day. Five minutes ago we felt excited, now we feel bored. Despite our obvious ever-changing realities, we all resist and fear change. A lot.
Balance comes not from remaining the same, but from maintaining flexibility in the midst of constant change.
Chaos
Chaos is the organising principle of the universe. The Devine Feminine is chaos. The creative process if chaotic. Feminine wisdom reigns in the messy portals between destruction and creation, death and rebirth. SHE is the earthquake and the tsunami, and can neither be bargained or reasoned with.
Cycles
When we dive into the chaos, we discover the underlying rhythm and predictability. We start to hear the heartbeat of feminine wisdom alive and well within cycles. Women’s moods and energy levels wax and wane like the moon, ebb and flow like the tides, flourish and decay like the seasons. Living in harmony with these cycles strengthens us, makes us wiser, and heals. Denying them weakens our spirits, our bodies, and our connection to life herself. Life’s a constant rhythmic dance between dark and light.
Darkness
Our lives begin in the womb and end in the tomb. It’s dark on either side.
We spend one third of our lives sleeping. For much of the year, darkness shrouds half of each day. Yet, we’re afraid of the dark. We resist it. And for good reason. Darkness reminds us of our vulnerability. Slipping into night requires a surrender into deep, dreamless consciousness that most of us resist. We don’t want to unplug, power down, and let go of ‘doing’. In fact, we’re so frequently going, going, going that we’ve forgotten how to rest.
In fact, most of humanity has simply forgotten how to relate to darkness. Over the years, with the convenience of electricity, we’ve all become increasingly reliant on light. It allows us to be more machine-like, more productive. We can get things done at any hour. But is this really so wonderful? Probably not.
In order to heal, we need to remember how to value the night. We need to honour that this darkness is intelligent and necessary for our survival. We need to see the darkness as part of our nature. It’s half of the miracle of life. We need to remember that all true creativity springs from the darkness. Unless we are willing to collect the forgotten wisdom lost in the dark corners of our psyches, we’ll experience resistance, rage, depression, illness and addiction.” – sections from Sara Avant Stover’s new book, The book of SHE.

Live with an open heart

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.” John Lennon

The wisdom of the womb

”The earthy, instinctual knowing of life’s deepest truths lives in your uterus (even energetically, if you no longer have one physically), which you can also begin to think of as your second heart. The voice of your intuition comes from your womb.
When your womb is shut down energetically, your creativity is quashed. You might eventually experience this at the physical level through infertility or other gynaecological complications, such as fibroids, cysts, or irregular cycles. To remedy a disconnection from your womb wisdom, you must first reclaim the artist that you are. Your creativity comes through when you cook a meal, dress your child, decide what shoes to wear, and create a home. The more you take pause in your life, the more room there is for your inspiration to emerge within you.
I believe with my heart that every woman needs to strengthen her connection with her womb and support it in a way she can. This space harbours our deepest dreams and desires, as well as our capacity for nurturing ourselves and all beings. When we heal our relationships to our wombs and their wisdom we play a tremendous role in reviving for the world the lost qualities of creativity, intuition, feminine wisdom, and cyclical living.” The Way of the Happy Woman by Sara Avant Stover
Isn’t it incredible how amazingly complex we are. I can’t help but marvel the wisdom we all hold inside us and our task in life is to pull this wisdom forward and share it with others. I’m thanking Sara from my heart for sharing her amazing wisdom with women around the world ♥

Meditation as a business tool – Interview with Jack Canfield

I’ve been following Lilou’s interviews, the Juicy Living Tour and her dedication for inspiring people to awaken to their own spiritual journey and tap in their life’s mission for many years now and I find her work truly amazing! Highly recommend to check her interviews out in case you haven’t heard of her! She’s got tons of inspiring, even mind-blowing interviews with phenomenal people from around the world!!!

Probably everyone knows or has heard of Jack Canfield, the world famous motivational speaker and author, and about how he’s not only become very successful in what he’s been doing but he also holds seminars on how to create success and personal fulfillment world-wide for a very long time. Anyhow, for those of us who grew up reading Jack Cannfield’s the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and found deep inspiration in them this interview is a must watch as Jack’s view and mission in life has also changed a lot along the way. While in this interview he talks about the importance of visualization, how to actually train the mind to effectively visualize, why it is important to release limiting beliefs, that success means living your purpose, he also talks about why meditation is one of the best business tools out there and how it helps to tap into our own creativity and get us more centered in everything we do!

My morning nut cappuccino :)

Delicious Raw Food Recipes

raw vegan foods

Upon many kind requests here are couple of my raw food recipes in English as well :)

raw strawberry cakeRaw vegan strawberry pie

Step 1. For the base, combine a handful of hazelnuts and couple of medjool dates in your food processor until it becomes a smooth mixture.

Step 2. For the filling, blend strawberry and banana together and lay it on the nut base

Step 3. For the top, place sliced strawberries and blueberries and voila, enjoy!

mint tea with coconut ballsFresh mint tea with raw coconut balls

For the mint tea: Pour hot (not boiled) water over fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon

For the nut balls: In your food processor, place a cup of almonds, 1tbsp goji berries, 1tbsp of chia seeds, 1.5 tbsp of raw cacao, 1 tbsp of carob, 1 tbsp of hemp seeds, 1 tbsp of maca powder, 2-3 medjool dates, couple of dried apricots, zest of 1 organic lemon and orange, 1tbsp of coconut oil and a dash of vanilla and cinnamon and process them until everything is well-combined. Take a chunk out of the mixture, make a ball and roll it into shredded coconut.

green smoothie and orange juiceGreen smoothie and freshly squeezed orange juice :)

For a basic green smoothie in my blender I usually put 1 banana, 1 slice of pineapple, 1 apple or pear, 2-3 celery, handful of swiss chards or kale or any leafy greens of your choice, 2tbsp of flax seed, coconut water or plain water and a tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon. I usually vary the fruits and leafy greens according to seasons.

strawberry lemon mintFresh fruit infused water

Add any of your favorite fruits e.g. blueberry, lemon, lime, orange, strawberry, raspberry, cucumber to purified water then just keep refilling it. In this case I added a couple of sliced lemons, strawberries and mint leaves. Heavenly refreshing! :)

raw cheese cakeRaw vegan cheese cake:

Step 1. Make the crust by combining a cup  almond (or any other nuts you like), dash  Himalayan salt, 1tbsp shredded coconut, 1-2 tbsp coconut oil and 2 medjool dates in food processor. In case you wish to make a cacao base then simply add 1 tbsp of raw cocoa powder to it. Then spread the crust in a pan (I used glass pan)

Step 2. Make the filling by adding 1 cup cashew, 4-5 medjool dates or alternatively 4-5tbsp maple syrup, 1 cup strawberries, half a cup blueberries, 3-4tbsp freshly juiced lemon, 4 tbsp coconut oil, dash of vanilla and cinnamon, 1 tbsp flax seeds and approx 1/2 cup water in your high speed blender and combine them until it becomes completely creamy and smooth. Its consistency should be fairly thick like as of a traditional cheese cake :) Pour and spread the filling on top of the crust and place it in the fridge or freezer for couple of hours until it becomes solid. You can then garnish it with fresh fruits and coconut flakes :)

chocolate chia puddingChocolate chia pudding with fruits

Mix 1/3 cup chia seeds with 1,5 cup nutmilk, 1tbsp raw cacao, 1tbsp maple syrup, dash of vanilla and cinnamon and put it in the fridge for an hour to thicken. Then use fruits as layers. In this case I used strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.

Then add 1tbsp coconut oil and 1tbsp maple syrup to make it sticky. Roll the balls and you’re ready :) These make an excellent post work-our snack!taco rolls

It’s an adaptation of Kimberly Snyder‘s recipe. For original recipe click HERE!

I filled my rolls with ground almonds + pecans, chilli, cilantro, cumin and tamari then rolled them into swiss chard leaves. It took me approx 10 minutes to make a batch of these yummy rolls! Super delish!

Afternoon delight

HDRtist HDR - http://www.ohanaware.com/hdrtist/It was a wintry afternoon snack. It contains of a green apple pie smoothie (1 leaves of kale, juice of half a lemon, 2 green apples, 1/2tsp of spirulina or chlorella and camu camu, 1/2tsp cinnamon, cup coconut water and 1-2 medjool dates) and apple slices dipped into hazelnut butter :) An afternoon to remember it was!

Other ways to make a delicious chia pudding are:

HDRtist HDR - http://www.ohanaware.com/hdrtist/Use 1,5 cups any fruit of your choice. (I used raspberry, strawberry, cherry and pineapple here) One of the methods how I go about making these is just to mix and puree the fruits in a blender then pour the mixture into pretty glass containers :) The other one is when I transfer the fruits into a pan and put it on low heat for 5 minutes, add 1/2 agar-agar (it’s a red seaweed and it’s nature’s gelatin that comes originally from the Far-East) and stir it for another 5 min on low heat. I then pour the fruity mixture into glass containers and proceed them into my fridge :) Agar agar will actually make the fruit puree more jelly-like after putting it in the fridge. In the meantime I make the chia pudding by adding 1/3 cup chia to 1.5 cup coconut or rice milk, a dash of vanilla and cinnamon and put it in the fridge too for an hour or so then pour the chia puding over the ‘fruit jelly’. It’s always a hit! One of the easiest way to impress any guests, really!

Tips: I often make it the night I just have to grab it the next morning and take it on the road with me in glass jar :) Enjoy

Unconditional Love, Consciousness & Gratitude

Isla Saona

When we are not feeling loved that is because we’re not allowing ourselves to be loved! The more we love ourselves, we realize, the more life loves us back! How much we give is how much we get!

There are many many moments I feel particularly grateful for in my life but one of the recent ones was the moment of landing with a group of international friends on the paradisiac island of Saona in the Caribbean this August! Just thinking about it reignites my passion for life within a sec! And I know it was all possible because we believed in this dream (were planning it for years) like in many other dreams we have had along our journey. ”Energy flows where attention goes.” It could not be more true! Where our consciousness goes is who we are in that very moment that is why it’s so important to be selective about our thoughts and be positive

The magnificence of meditation

meditation place

”One of the myths of meditation is that people think that something special or transcendent is supposed to happen and that’s usually the No. 1 reason why people stop meditating because they’re waiting for something to happen in that 5-10-15-20-30 minutes and the reality is that the magnificence of meditation, that your benefits of meditation happen when you’re not meditating, in the other 23 hours of your day.

So if you wanna ask yourself ”Is my meditation working?”

– Have you forgiven more people?

– Are you loving yourself more unconditionally?

– Are you looking towards limitless beliefs as opposed to limiting beliefs?

– Are you apologizing?

– Are you living your life with compassion?

Those are the signs that your mediation is working.

Meditation is a practice for real life.

And if you wanna see if you’re meditating right? If you show up that’s right. There’s only one bad meditation the one that you don’t show up for. Every other meditation is good. We’re always doing it right as long as we show up.

And think about it: if you can’t be with you for 30 minutes a day who else you think would want that?”

From an interview with Davidji

What is true wealth?

♥ True wealth is abundant physical health.
♥ True wealth is spiritual connection to source energy.
♥ True wealth is emotional wellness.
♥ True wealth is found in serving others.

♥ True wealth is knowledge of oneself, knowledge of one’s environment… and finding and following your mission in life.

In addition:

♥ True wealth cannot be hoarded, only shared.
♥ True wealth is not created by what one has acquired, but by what one gives away.
♥ And true wealth (or happiness in oneself) is directly proportional to the happiness one brings to others.

Source of the quote

This week I had a newly found respect for David Wolfe. I am happy I had the chance to ‘attend’ his classes!

Moreover, this has probably been the most valuable week so far! I have learnt so much in so many different topics I’m just feeling continuously grateful for being able study at IIN and being guided on my own path and share my experiences with YOU! ♥

I don’t read or follow the news (especially don’t look at horrific photos and videos). They find me if I need to know about them. As each has a message or lesson to learn from and it is up to us how we make sense of the sometimes seemingly ‘inexplicable’ happenings of the world.

The tragedy, that happened in the Northern part of Spain yesterday, has had one message for me, loud and clear: SLOW DOWN. It is easy to get lost and blame the outer circumstances and feel as victims in the craziness of the world unless we stop and turn inward from time to time. Signs like these are clear indicators how much we all need to slow down, think of the others and how much we are interconnected, and live life on purpose.

My heart goes out to all who’s been involved in the tragedy and to their families and pray for their souls and send them unconditional love to find their solace in this infinite universe. ♥

Institute for Integrated Nutrition – the role of a health coach

”Our mission is to play a crucial role in improving health and happiness, and through that process, create a ripple effect that transform the world.” IIN

How health coaches can help reverse the Health Care Crisis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBRcCclH7yE

Student experience: http://www.integrativenutrition.com/lp/student-experience

Number one reason to be a health coach:

Joshua Rosenthal, the Founder, Director and Primary Teacher ripple.jpgof the school talks here about the ripple effect of health and happiness that’s changing the world.
He started this school with a simple, but powerful, idea that food changes everything. What you eat becomes who you are, so if you start eating better, you can improve your health, your emotions, and your overall well-being. And you have energy to take on bigger challenges and help the world become a better place.
Students of the school are inspired by experts who are at the forefront of wellness and are all distinguished speakers, leading doctors, PhDs, researchers and authorities in nutrition today such as Andrew Weil MD, Deepak Chopra MD, David Wolfe, Joel Fuhrman MD, Mark Hymann MD and many more:

IIN is a thriving school and community, dedicated to help advance the future of nutrition. Remains open to all diet and nutrition theories. The core of their philosophy is founded on three mayor principles: Primary food (love for body, mind, soul and spirit), Bio-individuality and Health Advocacy.

‘Every step is on the path’

It’s not about traveling or moving, nor about expanding our family. My current wholehearted happiness derives solely from releasing my fears and taking a huge leap of faith… No more questioning, no more thinking, no more self-doubting, in other words, being brave enough to be my-true-self and follow my calling. Do what I’ve come here to do…

Yesterday, I enrolled to the world’s best and largest holistic health coaching program, namely to the Institute for Integrative Nutirtion that I’ve already recommended to some of you and I will continuously do so! And by this seemingly small act I feel so wonderfully overwhelmed and happy that words can’t even begin to describe!

Huge relief, excitement and joy at the same time is what I’m feeling. I never would have thought I would feel this way but clearly it’s that important to me and feels like my soul is dancing. It’s sort of witnessing my own birth – to my own true self – if that makes any sense. Like when we feel fully supported by inner world and by the whole universe! The kind of happiness that comes from deep within. No need to explain, you just feel it!

I still can remember how very excited I was to get accepted to the university 16 yrs ago and embark on my independence journey but the excitement was not even close to what I’m feeling now! This is the moment when I turn my own passion into my mission and learn how to help others in the kindest and most loving possible way!

After years of battling self-doubt, lack of confidence, trying to prove myself and trying hard for my relatives and friends to accept or support me, I realized two years ago it’s only me who can’t accept and love myself and making me feel miserable at times. All the frustration or feeling of unworthiness was coming from within. It’s me who had a problem with myself – thus with the whole world occasionally. And that’s what’s been changing for years and now I know that waiting for acceptance by others is not just not necessary for living a happy and fulfilled life but downright self-destructive. Once we learn to accept fully who we are and embrace it we start seeing and accepting and loving every beautiful beings around us and living in constant harmony, happiness and acceptance with what life brings us. We begin to attract people who inspire us and from whom we can learn and with their help we create our routines to maintain this harmony.

Then we reach a point in life when we don’t want to change or judge ourselves or others any more. We accept what is. Not wanting it to be more. It’s not even about changing, it’s about being more of who we truly are. Getting comfortable in our own skin. In our own life. Letting our soul shine through to the outside world. Let’s not forget that every time we overcome our fears and are brave enough to be out of our comfort zones, we are continuously growing.

Mainly because of our social conditioning, it takes a lot of and continuous work, time and patience to really get to know ourselves deeply, to befriend ourselves and realize we’re never alone. We’re all in this together. The happier we are the more we have to offer and share!

Only when we begin trusting ourselves completely do we begin trusting everyone and the world around us. We realize there’s no enemy – there are only people who just need more love and support!

The most important thing is to have faith in ourselves and in life because life is meant to be beautiful – for every one! And everything does happen for a reason! If for none other reason is to learn and grow from each experience we invite in our lives!

And this is how I’ve been feeling for quite some time. And I’m not writing this in English because this is how I planned it, but because this is how it came through me. From my soul – without a grammar check in place ;-) I just let it pour out from my heart in whatever language it wants to come. On my way to the metro station this morning I realized that the happiest and most balanced part of me is the ‘English part of me’. This is what I have acquired from this language – a full-blown positivity and I love it! On the other hand, I am also being completely aware that there’s still much work on accepting the Hungarian positive side of me ;-) But with patience it will happen. It’s all a learning curve and I’m looking forward to it just like any other new discovery and acquaintance that will enter in my life!

So what made my day yesterday and the reason I couldn’t sleep at all from all the excitement was that I enrolled to my dream school, the school I was looking for but only revealed itself in front of me when I became ready. As they say, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Thus here I am, embarking on a new chapter of my life, taking all my dreams with me but for now, I’m just celebrating this moment!

Because thinking, talking and writing about it, really is just one thing. Taking that step you know, you feel, is the right step toward fulfilling your life purpose, is a whole other. And taking that step, enrolling in this school what makes me wholeheartedly happy right now! To me happiness does not mean we are supposed to be laughing and jumping in joy all the time. It means that we let ourselves feel and experience our feelings whatever they be and align ourselves with the rhythm of nature. It means that we are brave enough to live the life we dream of and know, even when it seems all grey at the moment, that everything is okay and it will always be okay. And finally, it means to be grateful for every experience we have during the course of our lives because we can always learn from them and grow further and become richer by them.

So cheers to finding our own path  and to be inspired and let others to be inspired by our true essence and presence.

”The most important thing about dreams is having one, and then following it”

Happy happy day

Note to self – to always remember that it’s been one of the happiest days of my life and many other just like this will follow! Another dream is being born… ♥

The first was when I met Karesz, then when Dani was born and this probably climbs to third place!!! ♥

Love and hugs to every beautiful souls!!! ♥

”Many of us confuse ‘energy’ with ‘urgency’ and ‘constant movement’, and ‘nourishment’ with ‘ballast’, and we have wound up finding our perverted states of balance. We live our lives on the go, favoring ambition and drive over peace and contentment. When we find ourselves exhausted, spent, or spacey, we reach for fast carbs, highly processed and overrefined foods, and other quick fixes to fuel us so that we may proceed full speed ahead. In this book, we have seen that stress stimulates the release of ‘yang hormones’, disrupting our balance of yin and yang. This eventually leads to adrenal exhaustion, panic attack, diabetes, heart disease and more. If these conditions do not bother us, there’s not much motivation to change. But if we are not happy, it might be time to do something different, like beginning to include good quality and quantity of yin and yang in our lives and diets.

We can see good quality yang as clean, centered ‘qi’ (chi) or ‘prana’ in our bodies and minds, while poor quality yang can lead to stagnant ‘qi’, causing excess ambition, irritability and stress.

Yin is nourishment. There is physical nourishment, food, drink, and sleep, and there is emotional nourishment: love, contentment, and peace. There is also spiritual nourishment, found in reading works of inspiration, knowing what our purpose is, and living accordingly. Each of these forms of nourishment is a source of high quality yin. We need to have sufficient quantity of these forms of nourishment, that is, enough food, enough sleep, enough clean air, enough love, enough contentment. A little pill, no matter how great it is or how few side effects it has, can never make up for what we put in our mouths and minds and how we live our lives!

In the West, we ignore the fundamental causes of ill health and pay for it three times over. First, we suffer the immediate effects of living a stressful life and eating poor-quality foods. Second, we suffer the long-term effects on our health. Finally, we have to pay for medications and procedures we wouldn’t require if we addressed the core causes of ill health in the first place.

Eastern medicine emphasizes health maintenance as preventative medicine. The word doctor comes from the Latin, docere, meaning ‘to teach’. The word physician comes from physickos, meaning ‘nature’ or ‘natural’. In Eastern medicine, the role of doctors is to educate their patients about how to coorporate with nature. This encourages self-awarness and places the lion’s share of the responsibility for health maintain lifestyle and diets that serve to balance them.

In my practice, I recommend to most women suffering from any women’s health disorders, that they first adjust their diets and lifestyles, and learn to manage their stress levels. Usually my main task is that of cheerleader. If they can make the necessary changes stick, they often need no further medicine. If they do, herbs and natural remedies are the next supportive measures in line, to address the root causes of specific disorders. I find the vast majority of women find a comfortable balance with these tools. As Hippocrates said: Leave your drugs in the chemist’s pot if you can heal the patient with food.

It may seem simplistic to relegate the cause of women’s health problems to the domain of diet, lifestyle, and stress management. After all, many women’s issues are associated with severe conditions, such as breast cancer, uterine fibroids, osteoporosis, and heart disease. However complicated the picture has become, though, the root causes usually remain simple and treatments are often straightforward. Hormonal imbalance contributes to each of these, and as we now know, the cause of hormonal imbalance is usually excess stress. We can drastically reduce our stress by adjusting our lifestyle so that we are engaged in a life we want to be living and we are neither under- nor overworked, either emotionally or physically. Appropriate exerciser and diet can treat a host of ailments and whatever side effects we can expect from this kind of medicine will likely be positive: weight loss, improved muscle tone, a better sense of humor, and a deeper spiritual connection, to name a few. ”

”Women play a pivotal role in the enlightenment and upliftment
of a moral society. Their power grows from their investment in preserving
the sacred ways of nature. It is this power that makes women the great
educators, guides, instructors, and nourishers for their men and children.
At this axial time in the history of the earth, it is imperative that women
reclaim and resume their roles as nurturers, healers, and the healed.”
